Mount Batur Hike on  Wedneaday 28/10/26.
This was booked through the hotel and I am so glad I did it this way. I missed out on the group booking for the date I wanted, so I paid extra for a private tour and this turned out to be the BEST!! They arrived on time at 1am and the drive to Mount Batur was smooth. Arrived there just before 3am and set off shortly after.
Headlight, water, and hiking stick provided.

The guide, Made was an absolute Gem!! Just fantastic,  extremely knowledgeable and very considerate. We took our time making our way up the mountain. Gave me breaks to catch my breath and take in the views. He knew so much information about the volcano and was happy to answer any questions I had. Even though it was partly cloudy, the sunrise was still a beauty to watch.
The most important for me, as a female solo traveller I felt very safe with the team. I was well looked after!
The breakfast was healthy and included a tasty sandwich.
After the hike we went to hotsprings near by and that too was a pleasant experience.

During the very first week of my stay in Bali, I wanted to get to know the country better. My travel coordinator recommended a jeep tour called "Mystical Volcanoes." It offered a fascinating glimpse into the island—from its rainforests and waterfalls to its spectacular volcanoes—and introduced us to the incredibly warm and kind-hearted local people. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch break with a view of a volcano from a mountainside; the whole experience was perfectly organized. Many thanks to our tour guide and driver for such a fantastic time.
